Jesse is awesome on teaching pronunciation! He carefully learned about my struggles and taught me how to pronounce an American vowel/consonant effectively and clearly. In our first lesson, I made it to pronounce the L sounds correctly, which was hard for a Mandarin speaker. When he found my mispronunciation, he pointed it out and explained in a detailed, friendly way how I should improve. He also tailored a lesson according to my homework progress. I like the homework assignments that include pronunciation explanation, practice words, sentences and audio files. The homework assignment helped me master pronunciation of American accent one by one, after I practiced them. It’s actually quite difficult to find a good tutor once you’ve reached a higher level.
